A word of advise for others.... don't be cheap like me. Buy the turf with the 3m backing.

other than some convenience, how or why is the optional 3m better than laying a good layer of contact cement?....i just don't think the extra cost will lay as good on diamond plate vs taping off and rolling on a layer of contact cement

looks good though....is that the b grade swamp camo ht had on sale?

It's just a convenience factor. By all means if you want to take the extra time with contact cement go for it. Trust me that turf isn't going anywhere after using contact cement. Yeah that's the b grade swamp camo. I found 1 defect on the under side the size of a penny but other than that it was perfect.

Take his advice, get the 3M backing, and save yourself the hassle.

Did you sand down the rough parts of the floor? I got some hydro laying around the house and want to put it down but don't know if I would need to sand it down or not

You can just go right over the Xpress factory lining....

Ok I wanted to make sure before I did it. I have the type without the 3m on the back. I'll probably just paint on some contact cement

I put mine down over the spray in liner and it stuck just fine. It ran good but ended up trading it for a Yamaha BS so it all worked out.
