Best fishing boat I ever worked on was a 53' Gwaltney with a single 1271 called the Calcutta.
Arch catches his share with a single screw ... And ain't so bad getting her into the slip.
Waste Knot was a BC? Fish - you used to work on a BC boat didn't you? Wasn't that the Skee Bo ?

You missed it. 4 can do it too.
Gettin old is for pussies! AND MY NEW TRUE people say like Capt. Tom >>>>>>>>>/
"Wow, often imitated but never duplicated. No one can do it like the master. My hat is off to you DRDUCK!"
Waste Knot was BC called First Crack at one point. Single screw.
Capt said he hit something, mashed flanking rudder and then main rudder up through she bottom.
Pesky whales
TIL what a flanking rudder is...
Single screw has reduced maneuverability therefore needs multiple rudders specifically for backing.
