I did the leveling thing on my truck right before deer season and went from 265/70/17's to 285/70/17's and I wish I had done it earlier

Most of these aftermarket bumpers come powder coated or paintable.

The one on his truck is powder coated black.

We sanded mine down and started over.

Gotcha. I wasn't thinking when I typed that. Of course that big, badass bumper didn't come chromed out. I was just thinking about factory bumpers. My bad.

    What wheels are those?

    Lowcountry.

Only thing online I can find similar already lifted.

Has matching rear bumper. I have no flares and don't plan to add them.

It's all personal preference IMO. I used to be all about lifted trucks and I still think they look good if done right, but sometimes they aren't practical.

I'm more of the opinion now that if you are regularly loading/unloading tools, gear, dead animals, pulling trailers, etc. in the back then the taller lifts aren't very practical. Instead I like to go with a leveling kit or 3-4" lift with 35" tires.

But if you haul the occasional trailer and maybe throw some gear or tool/material in the back every now and then, then you can get away with more lift.

Again it is all personal preference and how you use your truck.

I'm with cusportsman. 2.5-3.5 Leveling kit > 6" lift kits
