I'd love to have that Farmall, but this is a pondering thought that will not materialize for a while.

Most mass produced tractor around. Would be a cool project to take on.

I don't know about your area but 8ns are everywhere around here on Craigslist. That would be a fun project tractor

Got some things to off load before I plan on buying anything, roughly I'd say 1200-2000 area. Preferably I would like one that is running, but maybe needs some TLC.

As for now, I am not in the market, just getting my ducks in a row and doing some research.

My dad and I restored a 1953 Ford NAA golden jubilee when I was in high school. I'll have to dig up some pictures. Was a fun project and parts are still very easy to find.

We have one of the Jubilee edition ones we use to keep the farm and business property mowed. It still runs like a champ. It has a lot of meaning to the family as well as before cars became popular in SC, out family sold the Ford tractors. Now finding an original classic is becoming harder and harder. I will have to find some pictures.

Fords are like German Shepherds, they were intended to work.
If you want to restore something may I suggest a John Deere or a Chevrolet

This is one I had. Good tractors. The only downfall for me was the lifting capacity was low.

Thanks, I can't take credit for the rebuild. At least the majority anyway. I can say that mostly everything that was not rebuilt failed in 4-5 years. I had to repair the transmission and radiator shortly after the rebuild. These Fords are really great tractors, they don't compare to anything modern but in their day they were cutting edge. Enjoy your project and if I can lend a hand, let me know.

I had an 8N and wish I had never sold that little workhorse.
