57grns of H4350 under a 165grn Nosler BT touched off by a Win LR primer.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I'm hoping corelokts pattern well. It's my buddy's gun and he already has a few boxes of em. But there's always handloading if you're willing to sell some hand loads salty.

I have a guy I hunt with that is loading 130 grain Speer GSlams... at about 3000FPS

It is an accurate load that will give the DRT effect. I can get the recipe..

Yep. Accurate in all the rifles I have shot it in.

Corelokt 180s are not to be overlooked. They will expand and exit most of the time. For a plain "vanilla" bullet they are boringly reliable.

Same results from the 150 grain RN Corelokt in the .270...

Tons of great 30-06 loads out there. It's a wonderful cartridge.

I have had good luck with the core lokt and federal fusions in the same gun. Wish I hadn't sold it, but I needed the money.

Winchester supreme ammo shoots really well out of my Savage. Core lokts shoot ok but not like the high dollar stuff. Winchester power points shoot like ass, about a 4" group at 100 yards.
