Looking for a 15' aluminum flat bottom. All I hear is talk about duracraft, triton, xpress, and war eagles. Does anybody have info on Sea Arks. Looking at the specifications they seem to be good boats and have a lifetime hull warranty! Just wondering how the compare to the competition.

We had a sea ark 1648 that always plowed on the front. Too much depth forward. The war eagle hardly ever plows even with larger than design motors on them.

By plowing you mean the nose stayed low? Did it get much splash? Did it slow the boat down?

Yes, the nose stayed low becuse there is so mcuh depth forward. It slowed the boat down alot but was not bad enough to wet you or anything. The drag on the front from riding low made it slide in a tight turn at any high speed. So it was not worth a damn in the swamp. We had a friend who had a 1648 war eagle side be side with same loads would ride 8 mph faster at full with a 40 hp Yamaha. It handled rough water better and turns on a dime. That is why we got rid of it and bought the war eagle. A duracraft will do the same but won't turn as tight since it has that straight transome.
