    Default Weird Obit

    I was checking the local obituaries and saw this one from Ninety Six, SC. It confused me.

    I've known men names Carole, and I've heard of Nancie being a man's name. But that was the only part that confused me.

    See what y'all think.

    Carole Dorn

    Date of Birth: February 16, 1965
    Date of Death: January 16, 2014
    Service Date/Time: January 19, 2014 2:00 PM
    Service Location: Harley Funeral Home Chapel
    Services:     A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel.

    Carole Beatrice Dorn, 48, of 227 Shrine Club Road, wife of Nancie J. Smith, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center.

    Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Hoyt Dorn and the late Carol Burden Dorn.

    She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie R. Dorn and Cameron M. Dorn.

    Surviving is her wife of the home; her father of Greenwood and two brothers, Hoyt C. Dorn of Waterloo and Jesse E. Dorn of Greenwood.

    The family is at their respective homes.

    They would not give up the Dorn name.
    It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

    I've seen "special partner", "partner", and "significant other" used but not wife.
