    Tee, do you see this?

"waiting for activation" listed under iMessage in Settings>Messages.

I know these phones pretty damn good but I'm stumped.

I bought the GF an iPhone 4. She already has an iTunes for her iPad and iPod. Here is the problem. With the new iOS you have the iMessage which can be sent between iPhones. Well hers is sending from her email address and not her telephone number. I've called Verizon... Nothing. I've called Apple and buh'leeve it or not... Nothing. Ive googled the shit out of this on the interweb and there are several fixes however, none of them seem to be the option.

Setting>Messages>(iMessage-on)>Recieve At> and mine has 2 available places. 1. Email 2. Phone, for some reason her's does not have an option for phone just email. And NOBODY can seem to tell me why. Any of you have any idea?

I can't believe I read this thread? Now we spend all of our time worrying about a dumbass phone. By the way, has anyone seen mine? I had the damn thing just a few days ago. Oh well, it'll show up sometime, or not.

You need to register it. Once you do, it will give you two options...

    Well, it hasn't

If you confirmed this..."Tee, do you see this?

"waiting for activation" listed under iMessage in Settings>Messages."

Your first mistake was you bought her a phone..........and then Karma came in and made it not work (aka, gave you a sign), and yet, you got her another one.

It's the phones itself. It's all been confirmed and activated. Well iTunes says so anyways.

"If he ever registered it with Apple, you might be able to do the following:

    1. Go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
    2. Log in if not already logged in.
    3. Click on "edit products"
    4. Click on the "x" to the right of the product.
    5. Click "unregister"

Unregistering it often deactivates the number with iMessage."

    After that, register it again...

Did you unregister all the devices and start over with registering the phone first?

    Tee,

I'm having the same issue with my new phone I just got yesterday. The only fix to this problem is to get a new number?
