We were headed to the Caribsea but the conditions were deteriorating as we approached the shoals so we headed to the wreck of the "Hutton". The wreck was identified as the Hutton in a 1946'ish survey and has been called that until recently. In fact, the wreck is really the Ario, and what has been known as the Papoose is really the Hutton.

I jumped in with the hook and tied us in. One of the charters asked me to run a reel to help with navigation. I had enough line to get within sight of the boilers and saw the manta. It stayed with me for 30 minutes, 20 of which we were alone. As the other divers got in the water they ultimately followed the line and joined in on the manta experience.

Here are a couple of short videos.
