Dog Huntin 11/10

Ran dogs again on saturday and had a great hunt even though i didnt shoot, i was one stand away from both the big bucks. Ended up with 2 cowhorns, 1 spike, 1 7pt, a nice 9pt and two does. Done huntin by 4.

Bud Man, way to go getting the kids in the woods, seems as though they had plenty of action to keep them interested. I really believe dog driving develops the hunter in a young outdoorsperson and looks like you are passing on great hunting tradition. Congrats on a fine hunt!

It is good to get the kids involved, but that pic above is a prime example of why SC has few big deer.

yea yea i know why that's one reason there aint alota wall hangers haha but hey Those are the only 3 small bucks we've killed so far this year....But if you havent seen....here's what came outa that club the week before doing the same thing.





Also no we dont hunt out there oustide loris/vernon. The dog dudes like the one in the picture and our club president all stay out that way. Overall it's been a great thing for me and our club we've got a few young hunters hooked on it for life

Buck-buster, we mabye i dont know that side of the river well. We're off of international drive straight across from Wildhorse on 90 if that helps....I know we had at least one and maybe two dogs run a buck by me at light speed that ended up on that side of the river by the end of the night though..

I hate to see it being phased out around here, I've been doing it since I was old enough to go. I know for me there's no bigger thrill than cutting a buck down in front of a pack.....10-4
