Keep the four wheeler for "work/fun" and get an electric cart for sneaking.

Don't take pointers from 2th on sneaking though.

Edit: The ONLY con I see about an electric cart is once the battery juice is used up, it's out of commission until you recharge it. All depends on your terrain, how sloppy it can be, how far you are going, etc. All that factors into how long a charge will last.

PS. let me know if you decide to sell the atv

that being said....and I talk from experience here....get you a used golf cart for the wife and kids. keep the ATV for hunting situations where you need it. you make money. spend the shit.

Dook, I was in the exact same position. I have a 97 fourtrax 4wd, but wanted a golf cart for "sneak mode" and hauling the old lady and the youngun. I kept the fourtrax and bought an 03 Club Car. It has the lift kit and high torque motor, along with the other bells and whistles. Its got enough ass to haul 4 grown men and two deer out of the woods, up and down hills, as I've done it numerous times. When riding on the weekends and evenings, the wife, kid, and I can cover several miles and still have plenty of juice left. The extreme cold will kill the batteries quicker, but not by too much.

If I had it to do over, I'd do the exact same thing. I have my fourwheeler and boat if I need to "cross a flooded rice field." If you stay on roads and out of swamps, a beefed up electric club car or ez-go will do whatever you want. I like the club car becuase it has an aluminum frame and rides better.

The best part is, you can keep your 4wheeler and get a cart for less than you'd spend on one BBB or Ranger.

This is what I have pretty much known the whole time. I confirmed that yesterday when I went out to the hunt club that the ATV is made for that shit. And I reconfirmed why I own a 350 and not a big assed non turning POS 1500.

stay away from Ruf N Tuf, they are a POS! Had one and motor and controller went out. Upgrade to a EZ GO TXT gas cart and put a after market muffler on it and you can't tell it from a electric cart. The electric cart you will be spending around 800 bucks a year or so on batteries. My Gas cart runs 37 mph and very quiet with the exhaust upgrade, was able to drive up on turkeys and deer in food plots with no problem.
