    Default Need an internet connection guru

    in Columbia. I have issues going on with an IP setting on one machine and another has problems understanding the address bar instructions.

    Can anyone recommend anybody?
    It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

    Time Warner has been by and they are satisfied that their equipment is working.

    I wonder if it could be my Netgear router but there are no indications as such.

    What IP address is your computer getting? It should a 192.168.x.xxx number.

    If you log into the Netgear, can you ping google.com, 8.8.8.8?

    Bring up a command prompt and type in " ipconfig /all ". That will tell you your IP, your default gateway and DNS server.
