    the linksys I have lasted about 2 years - is that average?

    no... it should last 5-10 as long as you dont have lightning/electrical issues.

    That is pretty much the one I have now. It quit for good on me yesterday. I've been resetting it reguarly for the past year to keep it working.

    or dont... it will still be good for the money. ddwrt makes it sexy though.
