Default how could i attract them?

My buddy and i hunt in his dads friends property out in Huger. not much much about 15 acres or so. We bot haven't had any luck with deer ( i'm 16 been hunting for 6 around jamestown ) just nothing showed. So we are trying to get a pigs. We set out some 2 weeks ago and NOTHING was on the camera. Hunting is usually relaxing but come on ! haha. So do any of you now how to attract them; i read somewhere that mixing corn and dog food and let it soak in water true. does it work? and doe anyone else have any ideas?

    thanks.

There is a tried and true hog lure, but if I share it, your property will have hogs for decades...

I'm sure theres some on this site that will let you come shoot their pigs. You don't want them at your place.

You need to run it by the landowner first. Not his son. He may not appreciate a bunch of hogs on his place. You get his ok, and I will share it with you.

You don't want to attract them, once you have them its real hard to get rid of them. Just go find somewhere they're already at. There's plenty in the area around Jamestown
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Get some post hold diggers and find the hardest, most compact dirt on the property.

Dig a hole as deep as you can manage. 6' is best but I understand if it cant be done. It cant be big and wide, it has to be narrow and deep so the hogs cant get to the bait easily. They will flat dig out a wide shallow bait pit.

    Next is the bait.

A bucket of shelled corn, mix it with grape cool-aide, a lb of sugar, bottle of dark molasses, 15 yellow unions cut in quarters, and a can of tuna. Find a barrel to hold this mixture and allow it to ripen for about a week. Use this week to locate and collect at many used tampons as you can and put them in a plastic bag, well sealed.

Pour your mixture in the hole, and open up your bag of tampons and put them in there too. This is very important...the tampons have to go on top. IF they make it to the bottom of the pile the scent will never make it out of the hole.

Cover the bait hole and wait for them to show up.

If there is a pig within a mile of that spot, better have plenty of ammo.

Bagging them will actually help with this mixture.

BB, you cover the hole with dirt or something else?

    Works.

This is what that hole will look like after a week. Note: At this point these hogs haven't made it to the bait yet. Just diggin' to it...
