A lesson learned for me is the same that most of you have been preaching... That rubberhead family reunion isn't worth a few ducks. I will stick to shooting wood ducks in a private swamp.

We ended up with one hen mallard. We called her into the decoys. Both of us had numerous chances to skybust but that's no fun. It's bad that I can still hear people calling ducks in my ears... It's like hearing the ringing noise after you leave a 500 mile race.

We had a group that thought after we shot they should just blindly call. After that morning I've had enough public water until we get a few more ducks around .

Man Santee was full of the SB's and RH's. I'll think I'm gonna just gonna wait for my hunt with CW and just drink me a few beers and ride my little car in some parades. Today was crazy. X had fun today. You couldn't have told me we weren't gonna see some ducks. That's Santee for ya.
