A must read article written around 1911 when Wood Ducks were almost extinct as were many of our current species. The writer takes shots at everyone from auto/pump gunners to deer still hunters who he calls "skulkers". There is some very interesting information contained here if you take the time to read it. The parallells are striking both in what is good/bad for the game as well as the "sky is falling" mentality that we have the hindsight to see where he was proved wrong by time...
