Broadcast ant killer?

can you buy in bulk? if so, where?

have a 2 acre "parking lot" that i need to make sure ants are GONE> having a party next weekend and lots of kids will be there. I cant have them standing in ants...and we got ants.

anyone know what to use and where to buy?

I would buy a few cans of orthene(smells like rotten eggs). You will have to treat each mound and it will knock them out for 2-3 weeks. They will first show back up with small mounds.........which leads me to believe that a few survive the first treatment and build back up before they surface.

I have tried the broadcast method with little results also. I don't think there is any sure fire method.

I have mixed diaznon (sp?) when fertilizing and it seemed to work good. I don't think you can get it anymore though unless someone has some stock left over...

diazinon is now illegal. it worked.
over n out will keep ants whereever you broadcast it out for a year.
it has to be broad cast anywhere you dont want ants. miss a spot, and the ants will find it.
it also takes a good inch of rain to activate it, so this may not be feasible.
