I planted some Iron Clay cowpeas a couple of weeks ago. They were about 3-4" tall on Mon. when I fertilized them. Went and sat the stand last night and 90% of them were under water. And when I say under water I mean nothing showing.
Will they rebound if the water goes away?
We got 4.5" of rain at the club Mon and Tues and the farmer still ain't picked his corn!! He is hurtin in a bad way esp. with this next system coming through. FREE CORN all year long!!!!

might depend on whether you drilled them in or not.

i would think as long as the water doesn;t stay there for a week or more, you should be fine.

last year, our corn was under water on three different occasions and turned out fine. surprisingly.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

Oh well probably get another foot of rain on it this week. Just have to start over.
The farmer did start cutting corn Fri. He got his combine stuck 2 times then went home..
