Nice fish. I caught one about that same size out here in NM 3 weeks ago. Never really caught any smallmouth before(other than 1/2lbers OTF), but found out that they are 10 times more fun than LMBs.

Looking to put a couple of yaks in the broad river to fish. Where is a good put in place and take out for a first time trip? I know the mexicans are closer to columbia but am unfamilar with that area.Any advice apreciated.

I promise, B is the type of man that would help any of us if we needed it. I would say that with me, you, and him being NRA members we share more views than can be clearly conveyed on the web. I don't want to speak for him too much, but he has been an influence on me with my shooting, and a good representative of shooting sports...not an AR toting idiot. We all put out a bit of a "hard ass" persona on here, but at heart we probably have more in common that most of us know. Truth be told, I respect your views on a lot of things, and appreciate your knowledge when it comes to biology. Let's just agree to disagree on certain things, and let it be water under the bridge.
