    Default Virus

    So that bullshit thread that chuck posted has a virus of a nature I've never seen. I'm afraid its like the smittfraud virus, but I'm not sure. A malware warning popped up and the window had no close or minimization function. I can't close it even through task manager and it won't let me get back in on my air card. The window has a familiar shield that looks like some sort of virus protection or Windows program I've seen before.

    Anybody got an idea how to get rid of this thing?

    I had it on my PC at work. Reformat. Period. Had some gurus try a few things to work around it and still had to reformat. Save yourself the time and stress.

    We had 6 or so out of 700 computers get that virus. PM me tomorrow.

    rkill / combofix + malwarebytes = no more virus. You just need a good computer to download the rkill on.
