Another great hunt last tuesday with two of my buddies. Hiked up the mountain early and storms were blowing over while we waited for first light. At first light it cleared up enough for the birds to sound off. They were firing off all over the mountain and we probably heard 5 different birds. We called a few times but nothing really gobbled at us. Then at about 745, one started to gain interest in us. He made a B-line up the road and gobbled a few times on his way in. When he saw the decoy he went into the woods and came around behind us. He was drumming and he gobbled right next to us but we couldnt get a shot off of him. I tried to make a move on him but he saw the movement and flew off.
We then walked back down the hill and immediatly saw a longbeard sprinting up the road. We hit the deck and this is what happened:

Great morning, excited for the next couple of days. Good luck to all and safe hunting.
