For that girly dog I think one of these would be more like it....don't really need anything "rough" or "tough"

Don't have any experience with this brand but for the most part, a crate is a crate. I've got one that I picked up at the pet store about 11 years ago. I've used the hell out of it and it is still hanging in there.

FEETDOWN, you were looking for a new box right?

I gotta agree with BirdBoy ... I use my crate over my dog box most of the time. Tater gave me that box 6 years ago and there is no telling how long he had it before that and it does just fine ... I'd buy a used one for cheap and if looks are important to you go ahead and buy an insulated kennel cover.

And buy an insulated cover for it as previously stated. There are a lot on craigslist.

Plastic is plastic. Just get a Petmate or whatever they're called.

BB, Im lookin for a new 2 hole aluminum box to fit a Yota. Still cant decide whether I want top or bottom storage though.

Lets hijack dex's thread and talk about that.......

Some guy posted this link on another forum about his sons.

Sounds about like a medium to me, Dex.

FEET, Did you not look at the photos? You could have side by side, top and bottom or front and back! And still get top storage! Its a win win.

DEX, If its just for travel you probably don't want it big enough for the dog to pace while your going down the road. Without looking at the sizes, I would say your a medium.

I like the aluminum myself. You don't have to worry about the covers like the plastic kennels. Just pull out the winter plates if it's hot or leave them in if it's cold and roll. Check out the Owens, they are pretty good boxes from what I've seen. Hunt'm up.com has good prices on them too.

Should I have two different sizes? I was thinking of having one crate for home and road..

should the one at home have a little more room than the one I put in the truck?

Got mine off of craigslist for $10.

    Get one.

Easier to move it from home to truck than tripping over two.

Damn good idea. Im gonna get four, stack em side by side and top and bottom. One each for the boys, one for Nelli and one for Jill. That way I can ride in peace up front by myself.

On that note, anybody know a good lawyer?

Can't remember, ordered it a year or so ago when they kinda first came out. My lab is about 60lbs and the Medium is big enough for her. I mostly want her to lay down while riding though.

Thing I ordered mine through gundogsupply.com when they had introductory pricing. Looks cheaper through the Ruff Tough website.
