Default Hen tube report from MI

Hey guys, been a while for me to visit here... Here is my quick report from Michigan and the Tubes you have sent.

This will be my third year with the tubes out. First year I think I had 3 tubes with nest bowls in them. This past year looks to have taken off. So far I am 4 for 7 with bowls and shells in them. Lost 2 so far to Ice, and am checking the rest in the next week or so. I am sure I have at least 11 more that had bowls in them at least, I checked them last fall. So that looks like 15 out of 28 that were successful. Moving some around that have not been used to the areas that are now producing...

I had a group of guys pick up 120 tubes and they will be putting them out this year. That is a huge amout but they have 6 guys doing it.

    Thanks guys...

Thanks guys, I get a kick out of these tubes. Wish I could get some pictures of ducks in them for me and you... I am toying with the idea of putting my trail camera on one of these. But its a 35mm and will most likely cost a fortune to get it in the right spot to get a pic and not burn up film. Also do not want to force the hen out of it checking the dang thing.

I'm sure there's some outdoorsman near you who has some good equipment and loves to take pictures, and could do so from afar without disturbing the bird at all.

Keep the good news coming. Thanks for the hard work on your end.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
