    Default Pig Parts

I have a buddy who shot a pig this last weekend and after skinning him and cutting him up we has decided to cook it Saturday while we watch football all day. I know temperatures and time and that kinda stuff, was just looking for maybe a rub recipe or a sauce someone wouldn't mind sharing. I usually use apple juice or some apple cider vinegar while cooking. The parts are butts, shoulders, ribs and loins. Any help appreciated.

IMHO, you are wasting your time with sauces and rubs until its cooked.

I'll share the dry rub recipe with you - use as you will. Ain't no way I'm sharing the cooking method or BBQ sauce recipe.

    1/2 cup salt
1/4 cup pepper, (I use & prefer the Coarse Grind, AKA "fat pepper")
    1 Tbsp garlic powder
    1 Tbsp oregano
    1 Tbsp celery seed
    1 Tbsp paprika
    1 Tbsp chile powder

I keep this on-hand year round, stored in a ziploc bag.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Boykin give me a call, and I'll give you the base of my rub.

Side note * It's going to win a rib contest this weekend.

Edit - stop, let's not take this out of context.
