    Default late season tomatoes

caught the end of the show, but they were talking about late varieties of tomatoes that you could plant July 15th. As many tomatoes as I am eating and enjoying right now, I would gladly plant more. The guy said there is a concern about a "spotted wilt" something or other caused by a bug but that there are resistant varieties. anyone got any info? i have room in the garden now that my lettuce and squach are done. might as well use the irrigation and grow more 'maters!

any help woud be appreciated. any comments from the yahoos will be ignored.

    that is all.

Tomatoes are 2 types, determinant or indeterminant. The first blooms just a few times and done (around July) while the later bloom through frost.

Look at the tag on the plant when buying.

My garden is struggling this year - I've been getting a few squash, a couple of tomatoes, and a few peppers, but NOTHING close to what I got last year.

I have a boat, and we can run circles around it.

I think I missed some water this year - had a couple of time where I was out of town for 3-4 days and had some very high heat with no rain. I re-fertilized this weekend and I've gotten plenty of rain the past few days, so hopefully I'll be able to stimulate some late season growth.

How many you rekon it will take? Does everyone need to wear fanny packs?
