    This morning was a text book hunt, dawn broke and 8 or 9 birds fired up all around me. Clucked and yelped a few times in the woods before heading to "the spot" Settled in on my tree, yelp a few more times and two birds are hammering in the pasture to the northeast. Yelp again and they start heading my way -- 5 minutes yelp again and they have cut the distance to 100 yards -- another couple of yelps and they're on the edge of the treeline. I clucked twice and I see two red white and blue periscopes pop up. I let out a quite yelp and a cluck and they hammer again -- then proceed to spit drum and fan out. Two clucks to get the head up and Mr. Turkey headed up to meet St. Peter

    Thanks for the kind words fellas, I was beginning to fear the damn skunk monkey was gonna get me again. Saturday I will go back for his friend

    Left out the stats -- 11in. beard, 1in. spurs, and 19lbs.

    What area are you hunting Lab? Mine have had lockjaw all season so far. They're there, but won't say a word.
