Helluva hunt....congrats
If it aint got 8 toes & a green head,it aint a duck.
awesome pile a birds
wait a second.......
Someone killed a Cinny HOLY CRAP! that's AWESOME!
You've got one life. Blaze on!
I've seen no proof of a cinnamon teal EVER taken on this coast. And until I do, everyone that claims they've seen one are reduced to liars.
Nice!!!
Wow, strong charge, old boy. I held the bird and reiterate, despite your label that there was a Cinnamon taken Saturday. I really wish I had a picture just for you. Maybe they'll add it to the types of birds killed when the results come out, that should serve as proof enough if/when the Biologists confirm the kill.
I got your rubberhead swingin'. why dont you call bear island first thing tomorrow and ask the man that was in charge of the hunt.
I spoke to the gentleman that manages Bear Island (Donnley and Botany as well) monday morning. He seemed excited when I asked him about the cinnamon. He confirmed it in our conversation.
I am all excited too.
However, I like Fish, will have to see a pic in front of the BI check station before I lower the flag.
There are several cinnamon teal killed in SC and tons more crippled or seen flying by.
Its crazy a bunch of camera guys from london with no big cat experience can find a snow leopard in the vast mountains of Tibet, but we as professional waterfowlers cant seem to produce one picture of a verified cinnamon teal.........especially when so many are killed here every year.
I hope to be proven wrong.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
Congrats
Good stuff Slaya! And a big congrats to your cuz on the banded bull sprig.
Glad he killed it, that's one less I got to worry about killing.
Like Fish, I too would love to see a pic of that cinny. I know dang well everybody standing there from this site, you and Dts, had a dang cell phone. Most all cell phones nowdays have a camera in them. Use them things boys!!!
The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

Some of the most beautiful images burned into my memory are from duck hunting. The last thing I am worried about whilst duck hunting is taking a pic.
Just sayin.....

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Very nice hunt, indeed! Congrats on a great day in the duck blind!
I say we track down the dude that shot it. they musta took 5000 pictures after everybody told them how rare it was.
You should've thought about that while you were standing there with the fella, the bird, and your camara.
Oh, that's right, you were too sleepy to think.
