    I would say 3.5" Hevi-shot #6s (hard to find) or 3.5" Kent Faststeel #3s.

I like the Kent FastSteel 3'' #3 with my long range PatternMaster and Federal's Black Cloud #3 in a Mod choke if I know passing shots are my only option.

I still kinda like the Kents, but the recurring reports of misfires and such last year had me switch to Federal Ultrashoks, and I have not been disappointed.

    I typically shoot 3" #2's

I love the Kent 3" #3's and plan to keep shooting them. I have heard a few people say they blew up their barrels shooting Kent (and everyone who said this was shooting a Benelli). Anyone have any comment about this on the Kents?

Yeah I shot and continue to shoot Kent 3" #2's. I own a Browning Gold Hunter and had a couple of Kent misfire and one blow up in the barrell last season. They came from a case I bought early before the season in back to back boxes. I sent the remaining shells back to Kent and have yet to hear what the verdict was. Think it was just a bad couple of shells. Scared the hell out of me though when I was looking directly at the action which was shooting fire out of it right in my face. And thank god I didnt shoot the second shell cause the wad was stuck in the barrell. But shot shells upon shells in Texas/Canada/SC last year and only had a couple of problems. They are working well this year. I think the shells were soaked in water is what the problem was, which is kind of an oxymoron.
