Canal is planted this year.
Santee River
see yall at the canal!
This thread makes me wish a few more parents would have practiced safe sex.
I haven't (dove) hunted a WMA in a long time, but know exactly what you're talking about. Sadly enough, rubberheads aren't confined to public fields. I've been on plenty of private shoots that had me scared every time a low bird would swing through. It's upsetting how so many folks on a dove field do not know how to safely handle and operate a shotgun. I'd venture a guess that at least 40% of the folks you "hunt with" on opening day of dove season will not touch their shotgun again until next year's opening day. What makes it worse is when that person has a kid with them.
It's a constant pissing contest. Their brains don't work like ours.
They would rather think they're right and show someone else up, than think that what they're doing is about to help screw up their hunt and others on this site that were planning on hunting the same areas....
I just don't get it!

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

There is a list of these fields every year on DNR's website for the whole world to see, without being mentioned on here.
Call Chuck Jones in Florence for there/Marion/Dillon County. He may have a spot or two left in a club.
I would rather hunt with Dick than ride with Ted.
