Agreed on the stanky stanky. Part of the aroma factor is the skin. The skin is where they piss.
Sometimes, I will catch a decent blackfin, gut him on the water, and grill, or cube, or whatever tickles the fancy. That liver, unless removed quickly, will make the whole fish smell like...shark liver...just my humble opinion.
Like the other folks said, blacktips are some fit eating.
