Bowhunting Challenge??

Would anybody be interested in doing something like this?

I haev been reading on GON about this and it seems fun and a good way to talk trash.

Does are worth 50 pernts and then they have a way to score the bucks but I need to investigate that lil more.

Teams of three must be members of SCDucks.

Bow only..................must provide picture with proof of date.....example that days newspaper in the pic.

Just wondering how much interest there may be.

Anymore ideas post em up

DMP it could be done either way. It is open for discussion which is what this thread is for........ what do you think??

just my opinion

1. Biggest doe- extra 100pts
2. most doe's-like you said 50pts ea.
3. Biggest buck-extra 200 pts. (Score) not weight.
4. most bucks 100pts ea.

and the director of this could put all this into a spreadsheet. and post updates so everybody can see how they are doing and how the other teams are doing.

WHat I have been reading was 5 deer per person which would be 15 deer per team. 2 bucks 3 does.

Does- 50 pts.
Bucks- 50 points +# points + spread + longest tine= total
Measurements Must be documented with pictures

Must take picture of entry and exit hole, to verify it is shot with bow and arrow.

I kinda like picking your own team.......if you are teamed with whoever 1 person may give 80% while the other 2 give 10% a piece.

Maybe do entries on a weekly basis.

Say they must be on the website by 10 pm Sunday night....

It would be easier to keep up with points on a weekly basis and then just total at the end of the year I think.

Lets encourage people that are not on the site to join the site and participate.

We could say must be a SCDucks member by August 15th??? 2009.

That may help you with getting on of your hunting partners on board.

I think it will be fun.

What about an entry fee?? 10 bucks per man= 30 bucks per team.

That could be a start if there is enough participation then we could give some to the biggest buck or 2nd place or something like that.
