I hear ya..........I was out last night trying to get shots of the moon but ended up getting my butt handed to me by my cam..........

I havent even read the chapter in the book I've got about shooting nightime/lowlight.........so I tried to wing it and set the cam on the tripod and went with it in Manual and played with different Aperatures at slow shutter speeds.......didnt work......I've got some reading to do one the subject........

10-4.........was out there in shorts at 11:30 for about 30 minutes and the swamp eagles were about to tote me off so I decided to pack it up......I deff give it a try on the next clear night...........

Yea the bad thing about it is I had 3 inside the house along with a bug-tamer.........lol

When I came in the house my wife said she was watching me out the kitchen window laughing........she said I would set the cam timer then walk around swatting myself.........lol.........she said this went on the duration of the time outside........I said well you know you coulda brought me my bug tamer.......she said where the fun in that..........lol..........

cc, for moon shots try a faster shutter. if you go too slow like you normally would use at night, the moon will look solid white.

Yep thats what I was getting........my problem was I was trying to overthink the whole deal..........I was thinking a slow shutter would gather more but I was wrong.............
