Default Fishing Spots Around Sandy Island

Does anyone know any good fishing spots around sandy island, or somewhere else up/down the river? What kind of fish and what bait? I have bad luck with the fish around here. Thanks

For bass right now I use a no.7 shad rap natural. Fish the ditch mouths on falling tide. For cats, cut shad or live bait works for me.Try a deep hole on Thouroughfare.

or if you just wanna have some fun you can get some big shiners and free line them or use a bobber in the little creeks and have a hell of a time with the gar and mud fish lol. We did that for 5hours the other day when we had no luck with the bass or cats. Caught several gar in the 40inch range. perfect if you wanna take the kids out and catch decent sized fish and have some fun...
