heard most bugbusters run in the mid 40's with a 40 and 1503's in the low - mid 40's. I bet a 16 with a 90 would bump 60 maybe more

nice, thanks, i was just curious, my friends uncle had a bug buster with a 90, it would run 115, he flipped it in winyah bay

I have a friend with a 16 HT with a 90 saltwater and he is running about 54-56.
For the ducks
all my high tide boats must have been defective. i had a bugbuster/40, 1503/40, 1503/50, 1503/60 and my buddy has a 16ft/90. all yamaha, all 2 strokes.
like the guy on the fuge always says- "nothing slows down a boat like a radar gun"
I put that 16 up next to my sea doo and got that speed.
For the ducks
i'm hoping my 1503 with 40 merc will break 40, anything over that will be a bonus

DVR, if you don't believe me, next time you're in PI you can get up with me, ill let you drive the sea doo, you can take the gps too if you want and ill put you up next to him, trust me this boat will go that fast.
For the ducks
they do DVR

1503 w/ yama ss40 49-50 there is motor work but not much.
Good to talk, see you out there!
what about a 1503 with a 60?
Run'n Couger!
1602 w/90 yam. 48mph gps, should have broke fitty but I got a set of lenco tabs and dropped a pitch on the prop to get better all around performance. When it gets on the pad it gets loose quick in anything other than flat water. Will run it like this for a while and eventualy throw a debit card at hydro-tech.
Pretty much the same as wdhigh...90 yam. 2 stroke on 16 HT, got it up to 46 by myself going with the current the other day. No tabs, and a lot of extra weight added. I'd love to know what the above person did that is getting mid 50's out of the same boat if everything's stock.
Can anyone top 115?
Your riding a gravy train with biscuit wheels.
No Salty, my 115 is in the low 50's.
Full load, 47mph and some change. That was trimmed out as loose as I could stand it.

i've got past the speed stage, if i wanted something fast, i'd get a strip boat or a light hull fastcraft, if my new 1503 will break 40 i'll be tickled pink. I got the High tide for the ride quality not the speed.
