Any idea if it is legal to put one out? Was going to drop some more brush around the dock and thought it may help bring the crappie, etc. in.

No law that I know of about feeding fish....you're just not supposed to trap them...or so I hear.
Make a mesh tube out of hardware cloth and hang it under water off your dock. Nobody will know it's there. Hang a few of them. I wouldn't use a feeder above a dock tho' you'll have everybody fishing your spot.

That sounds like a better idea for sure.
Any recommendations on what to use (food) to best attract them?
