There was one odd mallard I killed many moons ago on Lake Marion. Got that joker home and went to clean him. I suspected his lumpy neck was full of acorns, but they were snail shells. Not what I'd imagine a mallards eating in that area. Might be common for all I know, but sure seemed strange.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!
