Relentless Pursuit

Happened to catch "Relentless Pursuit" tonight on tv, their bowfishing show was outstanding. They ended up with a 227lb alligator gar, biggest dang fish I have ever seen... freshwater

I watched it too...was hoping they were gonna tackle that gator following them. I've shot many a freshwater gar but never came across a alligator gar.

Yeah, those Alligator Gar get to be quite large. They kill'em in South Texas at 250 a good bit I believe. They say they are as big around as 55 gallon drums.

They do not get as big around as 55 gal drums, they get about as big around as a 5 gal bucket but that still aint no joke.
