    Default SxS dog box build

You welder-type people out there...going to attempt to fab up a little dog box for the back of my SxS. Would 1" 16ga tubing work? Box will be approximately 54" wide and 22" deep. Probably be @ 18" tall and plan to use intrabond for top/siding. Would potentially need to hold around 250-300lbs of people on it when waiting on beagles to push a nanny doe to my location.

This one is made out of ACM. Lightweight and will last forever.

Based off of my experience, I would go with the aluminum from a weight standpoint to reduce wear and tear on the side-by-side, mainly bearings.

You protect such things as Honor and Fidelity. Your virtues matter not only in wealth, but in the richness of family, you are the last of the knights."

Aluminum all the way. Bearings and transmission will bear it all. I know a guy that builds them for rangers.

I’ve built a few. They aren’t as heavy as you would think. If you can afford the aluminum, it isn’t a bad way to go.
