What a shame. I see the scout deal going the way of the failed Nuke plant and the panthers training area.

I did my masters project there. Spent a few night with Dr Nix at the clubhouse with the Burnsides and ate some fine groceries. Camped out on the riverside while cruising some timber. Some of the most beautiful hardwood bottoms Ive ever walked. Thankful I was able to experience it.
"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.

I have a nice velvet buck on my wall from there. Had dinner at the clubhouse that night with Carroll Campbell. Beautiful place and a memory I will never forget.

I was told the new owners have to bring it back to how it was to use the mitigation credits. No drainage controls and so forth. No idea on the truth of that statement.

old news but unless I missed something, the past group still have it leased up for at least 15 years. They kept the house and some acreage.

Old news. This will be another piece of pristine property that will be more than likely mis-managed by our hard earned tax dollars.
"You are Citadel Men, you have no pension for failure, you wear the Ring, you never let a friend down, you will be good fathers, husbands, and leaders in the armed forces and industry, you are strong in heart, body, and mind. You protect such things as Honor and Fidelity. Your virtues matter not only in wealth, but in the richness of family, you are the last of the knights."
    - late President Ronald Reagan
