Lucked out and got it started so getting it out of the connex to where I could work on it was not an issue. I used my entire repertoire of cuss words and cuss word combinations getting the starter replaced. After fighting the starter and putting it all back together, when I went to crank it, it did pretty much the same thing...click click click. I thought I was going to vomit. I pulled the instrument panel chasing relays, ignition switch and other wiring and finally found a battery cable problem. Once that was rectified, it cranked like it never has before. I think the original starter was weak from the beginning.

On another note. Put a battery pad under the battery on that tractor. It will help with the corrosion and extend battery life by guarding it from some vibration.

I did notice the battery tray starting to rust.

Thanks for all the replies. Got my dove field disced and ran the Perfecta over it the first time. I'll be ready to plant when the time comes.
