I would imagine to the provider of the service that allows you to buy it online. It’s not like DNR has an office of blue haired old ladies selling shit online and then just fucking you with a fee bc they can.

I went to pay taxes on a boat and the county wanted $42 for the online fee this year. They will be getting a check...

I wish everyone would charge that much, or use cash. checks for bill paying... the lack of checks these days, and bad ones though have cleared sporadic courtroom time for me. I'd waste a morning if you wrote me a bad check to me for twenty bucks and took it that far.

As far as the fees, payment processing has to go out to bid...so not a penny of those additional fees goes to DNR.

It is a "convenience" fee. If you want instant gratification, pay for it. Otherwise, write a check and lick a stamp.

Credit card fees have gone up across the board, right along with interest rates. Still easier than driving to the farmers market.

Worth it to me fill it out on line, they already have my CC number and boom you are done with it, taken care of, waiting on the mail man
