They ran the fire out of him.

So I pulled in to where I was planning to hunt and had to wait for a turkey to cross the road before I could pull all the way in. Parked the truck right there and let the dogs out. Less than 100yds in the woods and they started barking and running like crazy. The only thing I could think of was a pig so I tried to make my way back up the road in case he crossed I might could get a shot on him. A minute or so later they stopped and I could tell whatever it was had gone up a tree and I made my way down there to find the fox.

I’ve been wondering if maybe he wasn’t in the process of stalking that turkey and we interrupted his plans
