    Default AG Lime

Looking for recommendations to have someone come spread ag lime in NE colleton county. Was also wondering what average prices per ton are nowadays. Thanks in advance

Call Saunders Farm Supply and let Nick or Randall come with the Vector to spread it. I think Mike at Ruffin Farm Supply also does it. They can quote you their rates. Great guys and will get the job done.

So what price did you get on lime and how much per acre for them to apply it?

I’ve been hearing roughly $100 a ton to have it spread. One quote even more. Lot higher than I anticipated so that will certainly cut down on the amount of acreage I intended originally.Does that seem high to y’all? I’d spread it myself but I don’t have a drop spreader or manure spreader or anything suitable to do it with.

Edit: still haven’t had a chance to reach out to Blakely’s contact but I did call around before he posted

Could be up to 50ac. Pricing is really what is going to determine how much I actually end up planting.

That sounds quite high over the bulk price to spread it. I would suspect it's a function of acres and distance they have to haul it and drive the spreader trucks. There are much more knowledgeable folks on here than me.
