    Default Suzuki outboards

I am looking at buying a new motor for my 16 ft jon boat. Been looking at Suzuki and was wondering if people that have one would give me their opinion. I am looking at a 20 or 25 hp. Thanks in advance.

    Don't rule out a Tohatsu.

I had a late 90's Johnson 25hp 2 stroke on a 14' High Tide, and bought a 2020 Tohatsu 20hp 4 stroke and there wasn't any noticeable difference in speed or hole shot. This little Tohatsu sips gas too. I'm sure Suzuki's are very similar

    I have a Suzuki 25hp 4 stroke on my 16’ grizzly tracker.

Great engine as far as I’m concerned, never given me any trouble

Heck I’m not using it right now, if you want to come get it one day and take it out to lake greenwood for a little while to see how well you like it pushing a 16’ boat come and try it one day. It’s needs to be ran

    Buy it
I have bought two new Suzukis in the last 4 years and they are flawless.
You will hear of corrosion issues in the older ones in salt but that was addressed years back.

Had a Suzuki for awhile. No complaints and easy to work on. Stay up on your anodes if you run in salt

Run Suzukis on some party boats & they get lots of hours out on them. They do great & pretty fuel efficient. Fella who owns Sea Tow in MtP has run them for sometime as well.
