Sad news to wake up to. Toby Keith was a solid guy and true Patriot doing a lot of work on behalf of our military service members.
He had a lot good music but this is one of my favorites, a pretty cool song, the lyrics are cool and the music has a funky country beat.

I don't usually give a crap when a celebrity passes, it's just another day in general but Toby was an exceptional man and loved America.
This is a pretty good clip of a recent interview a few days before his death.

    God speed sir.

Saw him a few times in concert. Neat guy & neat life. His Big Dawg nick name fit him well. RIP Big Dawg!

He bought the fishing tackle brand Luck E Strike last year and showed up at iCast. He did a little unscheduled concert at one of the after parties and my wife sent me a couple selfies with him. I didn't even realize who it was until she told me. Cancer really took a toll on him and he was all but unrecognizable. That said, in the video clips of him singing that night, there was no doubt that it was the Big Dawg himself!
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

I was already out of the service but did go back to Afghanistan in '08 when he came through KAF. Went back to Afghanistan and Iraq multiple times since I got out, that's here nor there. Toby was a genuine individual. He took his time to talk with the troops. He listened to their personal songs and stories. Ha had a real heart of gold and loved the USofA. He will surely be missed.

Toby asked Clint Eastwood how he lasted so long. Clint told him “don’t let the old man in”.
This was supposedly his last performance, last September.

    Waymore’s Blues.

Never was a huge Toby music fan per se, but thought he was a cool guy and a patriot.

He was a very respectable man for his patriotism and his interviews close to his death are worth a watch.

    I’ve always liked this video.
