    Default 83 Mustang Coyote swap

Operation Coyote Swap officially started. This 1983 Mustang is getting a 5.0 Coyote engine backed with a Tremec 6 speed. A Moser true fox body 9 inch rear differential will transfer the power to the ground. Full front suspension and 5 lug conversion will help stabilize and dress it up. Keep an eye out as this car takes transformation.

What do you have? This car has brought more attention than a 1948 we have. I can pass the info you have along if anyone ask.

That 5.0 coming out can be great again too

When I see that pony car I think Stroker Ace sitting in the back of his hatchback at Talladega exchanging shots back and forth with #10 Aubrey James.

Love a wolf in sheep's clothing. If I were him, I would not even repaint it. He would break hearts all over, if he can keep tires on it. MG

They ran it upwards of 1200hp with the twin turbo setup until they kept puking head gaskets. Now they have a Coyote in it.

They have a great Fed X man. 4:30 in the am delivering parts!

They need to take it to 5 star. With a pro charger/headers/tune you can get all over 700hp.

I almost dropped a crank in mine. The company making the crank warned me I would start breaking arms, much over 750. I just wanted a thumper, but I didn't want to break parts all day. He told me they were telling people do the cam or a pro-charger. That would put you at the upper end of power before you had to start putting full blown racing crap in.

I had a nightmare For ended up putting a new motor in mine at 35k. They could not figure out what was going on. 1 of the 5 star trucks had same exact issue, and my cousins did the same. All were 2020 trucks. All ended up to my knowledge (not sure on 5star) with '22 motors. Never had an issue sense.

So potentially gaining more HP at the cost of a downed truck didn't turn me on. It has plenty as is.

KRT that one brings back lot of memories.

Had a 1980 Mustang (Bright Bittersweet was color ) with 4 cyl Turbo complete with the Recaro Seats , it was my graduation gift from HS

LOVED that car , came out with V8 yr or 2 later.

    Thanks for posting that one

I work w/ this guy (Nate). He's got the whole Coyote swap wiring harness mod's dialed in for most platforms (including Foxbody's), enabling you to retain factory controls, gauges, ac, etc. He builds harnesses for Military/ Police IED disposal robots as his primary job so the quality of his work is top level. PM me if you want his contact info.
