    Default Electric fencing

I know this topic has been discussed, but I’m considering fencing (electric) about 2 acres of sunflowers this spring. I have pigs as an additional “bonus”. I don’t have power so it will need to be battery/solar. Anybody willing to point me in the right direction? Does it work? Do you put up and take down each season? Ballpark cost? DIY or buy a kit? Thanks in advance.

Take a look at my post and pictures in this thread:

I don't have to worry about pigs...just the deer.

I put up after planted and sprayed and take down once flowers start to dry out.

We had very poor success with e-fencing. Maybe we didn’t do it right, but we gave up and put up a permanent 8 foot fence. That worked.

I have my invoice and list of materials from a company in Charlotte. Double parameter solar fence. 4th season and no issues. $2500 for 10 acres. I can email it to you if you want to look it over.

its cheap and you can do it yourself and take it down every year.

    pigs shouldn't be an issue.

I wouldn’t say time, but, money maybe. I’ll still do one because I enjoy dove hunting.
