Period, end of scussion. When the first talks of NIL started popping up the first thing I said was that would ruin it college football. Between that and transfer portal there are no real teams anymore. It's just that years crop of guys, that's the best our school and rich alumni could buy. Eventually, it's going to boil down to five or six schools that compete for the best players every year. Neither of those schools are in the great state of South Carolina.

Losing money in the draft helped kill it as well. Potentially dropping out of round 1 or even 2 money for a serious injury is a real threat for any game not related to the national championship path. Glorified exhibition games to make bowl commissioners money. Yea the schools get paid in order to make them show up.

If the bowls fell off the face of the earth would be OK with me. No reason for them to exist anymore, NONE. Just play playoff games on campus and a single final game in a large luxury venue.
