    Default Boat titleing

I've been daydreaming about a small jon boat project and have been looking through the Facebook marketplace, what's up with all the boats for sale with no titles? Is there anyway to get something like that straightened out with no paperwork?

Yes, after you catch a fart and paint it purple.

If it has a Hull ID plate you have a reasonable shot.

Make a pencil tracing of the plate and take it to the titling office. If it’s never been titled, which is NOT uncommon for small jons that’s not a bad thing. DNR has boat investigators and they can track the ID if it’s ever been titled.

Bottom line? It can be done, you just need to do some work on your end ahead of time.

Hit this site before you buy. https://www2.dnr.sc.gov/BoatFacts/Bo...earchBoatFacts

You can enter the info to see if it's been titled by a previous owner in SC. If it had not all you should need us a bill of sale to get a clean title from SC DNR.

If it has, and there's back taxes owed, this is where you get in to trouble.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Paperwork is required, but it is not difficult
