    Default Trezesvants Landing Gage

Why did the USGS discontinue? We always used it as a reference for what conditions to expect when deciding where to camp. Is there another source to check water level relevant to Sparkleberry and Broadwater?

Congaree won't tell you dick in several situations. Too far up the river to account for the lake backing up. Wateree at SCE&G was better, they kilt it too. Trez was the gold standard...

I agree Trayvon was the tit’s nipple. Congaree is all that’s left.

I can't imagine that one of these sites could cost much to run. Even indep no, especially, independent of USGS. I would throw some money at it...

I normally would look at that site 2-3 times a week.

Gaia has a gages layer and I checked Trayvon and a few others elsewhere regularly.

I reached out to a buddy with USGS yesterday. "Tresvants Ferry has been discontinued for now but there is talk of it coming back online. If it comes back it won't be in the same location....I think they're going to move it downstream about 1/2 mile"
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

These are averages so not exact. Take it for what it's worth.

In periods of high rain events: Tresevants is roughly 1.75' lower than Ft. Motte @ Congaree

In periods of low to no rain events: Tresevants is roughly .7' higher than Ft. Motte @ Congaree

I don't know why so many people still use the USGS website for river level readings....

The Rivercast app is much easier and way more user friendly than that website....
